Fall Living Space

Tuesday, October 8, 2019

Pumpkin Bread, I have made two loaves so far.  I think I will do one again tomorrow!
Lighting candles again when it gets dark early,or is still dark when we wake up. Magic.
I present, our living room!
What you see when you first walk in.  That is the back door that leads to our covered back deck.
Built-in desk space.  I am about to do something to tidy up the cords.  Wait for it... :)

Landscaping

Monday, April 8, 2019

We have planted grass, brought in beauty bark, planted flowers and boxwood hedges.  I think the last thing is a Japanese Maple or a Koster's False Cypress over to the right.  I'm excited for how it will look in a month or so!

Cherry Blossoms

Every year these trees bloom so beautifully.  We planted one in the yard after Alma was born, and one after Inga.  Perfect living symbols of our two cherished girls.

Spring Home

Monday, April 8, 2019

A new season (especially spring) gives a sense of a fresh start and a good time to tidy.  I have been loving our Marshall bluetooth radio for dancing with the girls and cleaning house.  Opening the windows, feeling the cool air, enjoying the sun, seeing the flowers and being able to go barefoot have been some highlights.  I hope it has been a good time for everyone to practice something new and mindful in their lives, whether it be to benefit themselves, their families or the planet.  Happy spring!

Home

Thursday, February 28, 2019

Our house has been this wonderful sanctuary for us to live and grow in for the past 4 years.  We have loved home-owning and would not give it up for renting.  However, we only live on .67 of an acre here and with our growing family, it is starting to feel small.  Don't get me wrong, I'm all about living with a small footprint, but not when it comes to enjoying time spent outdoors.  We would love to have a large garden, chickens, woods (of our own) with walking trails, fields to run in... you get the picture.  Our property is also quite sloped, which limits us a bit.  Well, we could end up getting creative and staying here, but we also have some other ideas up our sleeve that I may end up sharing here in the near future...
