It’s interesting to think about the weight of our decisions. How some are so heavy, take thought and have so much impact while some (most) seem fairly light and don’t steer our lives dramatically at all. It’s amazing that we can make these choices and change our courses so intensely, or not. Circumstances we cannot control can also alter our trajectory. If, however, we can maintain a state of constant gratitude for whatever may come, it all will teach us or grow us in just the right way. Then, it is all good.

Fall Latte
Saturday, November 14, 2020
I have had to create a little invention in the mornings to cure my eggnog craving. I love this hazelnut almond milk latte with a sprinkle of nutmeg on top. For all of us sensitive or allergic to dairy, it is a nice seasonal replacement.
DIY Open Shelving
Thursday, March 12, 2020
We took down an upper cabinet and replaced it with some open shelves! To see more of the process you can check out my stories highlights on Instagram (House Projects). Also see my previous post on this blog about our kitchen. I ordered some corbels and my husband cut a stair tread down for the shelves. A ripped down 2x6 was the support and we mounted that with five drywall anchors. I painted it with pure white and decorated with my own art and some of my collected white dishes! We love the look, the light it lets in and how much bigger it makes our kitchen seem.
